Delete Your Desk Account
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Desk is published by Desk App, LLC. This page explains how to request that your Desk account and its associated data be deleted, exactly what is removed, and the limited records we are required to keep.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the Desk app, at any time. No request form and no waiting for us to act:
- Open the Desk app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile.
- Scroll to the “Account” section and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. You are signed out on every device as soon as it completes.
2. If You Can’t Sign In
If you no longer have access to the app or to your login, email support@deskapp.pro from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify that the account is yours before we act. We will confirm once the deletion is complete, and in any case will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
3. What Is Deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases the following. There is no grace period and no way to restore it afterwards:
- Your login and profile — email address, password, name, phone number, profile photo, and every active session.
- Every business you own, in full: its appointments and calendar history, client records (names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, notes, and any other client details), services, items and inventory, equipment, discounts, sales, invoices, payments, refunds and payment requests, team chats and their messages, and all team memberships.
- Your billing records with our payment processor — the Stripe customer we hold for you is deleted, which also cancels any active Desk Pro subscription, and any connected payout account is unlinked from your account.
- Push notification tokens for your devices and any queued notifications.
- Your support conversations with us and their messages and attachments.
4. What Is Kept, and Why
A small amount of information survives deletion. In each case it is either data that belongs to someone else, or a record we are required to keep:
- Businesses you worked in but did not own stay with their owner. That business’s appointments, client records, and payments are the owner’s data, not yours, so they are not deleted. Your profile in that business is replaced with an anonymous “Deleted user” placeholder — your name, phone number, and photo are erased — so the business’s own history remains readable.
- SMS delivery records. Logs of text messages sent or received through Desk (recipient number, message text, delivery status) are retained as carrier and compliance records, including opt-out requests we must honor. They are detached from your business and client records when your account is deleted.
- Payment and tax records held by Stripe. Stripe, our payment processor, keeps transaction records independently of Desk to meet financial, anti-fraud, and tax obligations, and we cannot delete them on your behalf. See Stripe’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Purchases made through an app store. Subscriptions bought through Google Play or the App Store leave a purchase record with that store, governed by its own policies. Cancel or request refunds for those through the store itself.
5. Additional Retention Period
Deletion of your account data is immediate — we do not hold it for a cooling-off period. Encrypted database backups taken before the deletion may still contain residual copies for up to 30 days, after which they are rotated out automatically. We do not restore deleted accounts from those backups.
The records described in section 4 are kept for as long as the applicable legal, tax, or telecommunications obligation requires, typically up to seven years for financial records.
